Project Overview & Motivation
The Problem: Current virtual worlds often exclude diverse users due to physical or cognitive navigation barriers, lack of sign language or multilingual support, and safety risks.
The GeniVerse Solution: GeniVerse is an EU-funded Innovation Action under the Horizon Europe program (Call: HORIZON-CL4-2025-03-HUMAN-15). It fuses Generative AI, Extended Reality (XR), and edge-based frugal AI to transform static digital spaces into dynamic, co-creative, and emotionally responsive virtual environments.

Smart & Emotionally Aware Avatars
Deploy pedagogical, assistive, companion, and safety avatars capable of real-time multilingual dialogue, sentiment recognition, and national sign language interpretation.
Hyper-Personalization
Develop generative engines that continuously adapt 3D scenes, narratives, and UI complexity to individual user profiles, emotional states, and accessibility needs.
Sensory Immersion & Realism
Enhance co-presence and shared multi-user experiences using OpenXR standards, spatial audio, haptics, and realistic scene dynamics across VR, mobile, and web.
Trustworthy & Frugal AI
Execute lightweight AI models locally on edge hardware (powered by NVIDIA Jetson acceleration) to lower latency, reduce computational carbon footprints, and safeguard data sovereignty.
Compliance-by-Design
Integrate privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), GDPR compliance, and AI Act oversight via an automated Virtual Moderation and Compliance Support Agent (VMCSA).
